Lake Charles' Cole Flanagan Named Texas Collegiate League Pitcher of the Week
The Texas Collegiate League has announced that Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators right-hander Cole Flanagan has been named the TCL Pitcher of the Week after delivering one of the most dominant outings of the 2026 season.
Flanagan was nearly untouchable in his start, earning the victory after tossing 8.0 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits. The right-hander kept opposing hitters off balance all game long, striking out eight batters and finishing the week with a sparkling 0.00 ERA.
His commanding performance gave the Gumbeaux Gators a tremendous boost as they continued their push in the tightly contested Texas Collegiate League standings. Flanagan attacked the strike zone from the first pitch, consistently working ahead in counts and limiting scoring opportunities throughout his eight-inning masterpiece.
The outing marked one of the longest and most effective starts by any pitcher in the TCL this season, showcasing Flanagan's poise, efficiency, and ability to dominate deep into a ballgame.
For his outstanding performance, Flanagan has earned Texas Collegiate League Pitcher of the Week honors.
