Strykers Sign 4 Players From Texas Schools

Campbell, Allen, Ducoff and Raygoza Added to Strykers’ Roster

The Woodlands, TX (April 25, 2015) - The Strykers are proud to announce the addition of 4 talented athletes from around the Lone Star State. Seth Campbell (Stephen F. Austin), Cody Allen (Incarnate Word), Jonathan Ducoff (Baylor) and Gabriel Raygoza (Our Lady of the Lake University) aim to represent The Woodlands Strykers and the state of Texas well in the 2016 season.

Seth Campbell, a freshman left-handed pitcher, has been masterful on the mound for the Lumberjacks this season. Campbell has seen action in 11 games this season and holds onto a 3-0 record along with a 1.47 ERA, the lowest on the team. Before joining the Lumberjacks, Campbell was a four-letter winner at Channelview HS, splitting time between the first base, outfield and pitcher position.

Cody Allen, a freshman pitcher from Bulverde, TX, has seen ample playing time for the Cardinals this season, appearing in 12 games, starting two contests. Prior to his collegiate career with the Cardinals, Allen was a four-letter winner at Smithson Valley High School. In addition, Allen has taken care of business in the classroom, receiving an Academic All-State selection as a senior.

Jonathan Ducoff, a sophomore infielder, has been successful on the diamond and in the classroom in his time so far at Baylor. As a freshman for the Bears, Ducoff made 35 starts in 44 total appearances at the second and third base position. Ducoff, in the same season, recorded 76 fielding assists, good for third on the squad, 7 multi-hit games, 30 total hits and 14 runs scored. Ducoff has been masterful with the glove as well, maintaining a perfect fielding percentage thus far in the 2016 season. Last offseason, Ducoff was placed on the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. Ducoff also has an impressive list of academic achievements, earning himself a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll three times along with Dean’s list twice.

Gabriel Raygoza, a junior pitcher for OLLU, has appeared in 7 games for the Saints this season, starting six of those.  Raygoza was a pitcher for Howard JC for two years before transferring to OLLU this season. As a member of the Howard Hawks, Raygoza played in 12 contests and recorded a 3-3 record.
