WRANGLERS EDGE BOMBERSSame story, different rainy day. Colleyville had another rainout but Weatherford saw a crack in the clouds and got the chance to get a game in. WEATHERFORD 3, BRAZOS VALLEY 2 The TCL finally gets a game in despite all the rain the past few days, and what a game it was. The Wranglers get a game winning RBI single off the bat of Spencer Jackson in the bottom of the 8th inning to beat the Bombers 3-2. Weatherford starting pitcher Jon Kibler (3-0) pitched another gem going 8 strong innings striking out nine Bomber hitters on the night while only allowing four hits. Wrangler releiver Jeremy Erben came in and slammed the door in the ninth to pick up his first save of the season. Bombers starting pitcher John Touchton (0-0) went six strong innings and pitched well striking out 5 Wranglers.
