Jess Todd, a 2006 TCL All-Star from the Coppell Copperheads, picked up two wins against No. 1 Vanderbilt last weekend at Baum Stadium and then snagged SEC Pitcher of the Week honors. Todd is the TCL's all-time strikeout leader with 85 K's in 61 innings pitched.
The junior right-hander out of Navarro College pitched nine total innings in two relief appearances, allowing just three runs on one seven hits while striking out nine.
He pitched the final three innings on Friday night, allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts and no walks to get the win.
Todd then relieved Dallas Keuchel in the fourth inning on Sunday and pitched the last six innings to notch his second victory over the Commodores. He gave up just one run on four hits in the series-clinching win, while striking out five.
