TCL Announces Players of the Week

Texas & Louisiana, USA (July 25, 2022) — As the TCL season heads down the stretch towards its final week of the regular season, players continue to deliver elite performances to help their teams make pushes for the playoffs. Landrey Wilkerson of the Baton Rouge Rougarou delivered big performances to help lead the roux to a playoff berth and earn Hitter of the Week honors. Meanwhile this past week saw Patrick Hail of the Brazos Valley Bombers deliver multiple stellar outings to help the Bombers maintian a hold on 1st place overall in the regular season and win Pitcher of the Week honors.

Landrey Wilkerson is the 2nd Crowder College product in a row to earn the title as TCL Hitter of the Week. Landrey’s week had him collecting six hits including two doubles, five walks, five RBI, two HBP and a stolen base. Jackson finished the week hitting .600 with a whopping On-Base percentage of .735. Wilkerson looks to continue his hot streak down the stretch for the playoff bound Rougarou.

Patrick Hail, the Lamar University product, has been a consistent productive pieve out of the Bombers Bullpen this season. This past week was no different as Hail made two appearances and delivered shutout baseball both times. Patrick struck out four of the six batters he faced, surrendered zero hits and earned a save in the process. TCL hitters have yet to figure out Hail this season, as he has yet to surrender an earned run and only gave up three hits over 12 plus innings while collecting three saves.
