Texas Collegiate League

Bryan/College Station, TX - July 21, 2020 - The Texas Collegiate League has announced Austin Colon of the Texarkana Twins and Nolan Hudi of the Amarillo Sod Dogs as the TCL North Division players of the week. 

Colon is a senior second baseman out of Texas Lutheran. He grabbed eight hits last week as he finds himself with a six-game hit streak heading into this week. Three of his eight hits went for extra bases. He went 3-5 with four RBI’s against the Tulsa Drillers on Saturday. He doubled his total for the season after a five-RBI week. 

Hudi, the TCU freshman, went five scoreless innings against the Round Rock Hairy Men last week to earn pitcher of the week honors. He struck out eight of the 21 batters he faced, allowing four hits and walking just one in the 2-1 Amarillo victory. Although he has only been credited with one win this season, the Sod Dogs have been victorious in all four games he has appeared in.
