Strykers Announce Return of Two Coaches for 2016 Season

Woodlands Builds Staff in Search of Playoff Berth

The Woodlands, TX (February 25, 2016) - The Woodlands Strykers are proud to announce that head coach James Dillard and assistant coach Tyler Seibert will be returning to the team for the 2016 season.  The 2016 campaign will be the Strykers’ fourth as a franchise as well as Dillard and Seibert’s second season together on the Strykers staff.

Dillard’s experience, with a career record of 141-88, as well as his familiarity with Coach Seibert and an impressive looking roster may be just what the Strykers need to achieve the first playoff appearance in franchise history this season.

Dillard was a part of the 2006 TCL championship team, the Denton Outlaws, as a pitching coach. Dillard has also coached collegiate summer league ball, and was on the coaching staff at University of Texas-Dallas, while also being a head coach at four different high schools. While at Normangee, O’Donnell, Rusk and Magnolia West, Dillard accumulated a 141-88 record. He also won a TAPPS state title with Waco Reicher as an assistant coach in 2006.

Assistant Coach Seibert currently serves as the assistant coach for the East Texas Baptist University Tigers.

Dillard says “We are excited about the 2016 season,” with his eyes set on a goal of reaching the TCL playoffs for the first time in franchise history, Dillard states that “[the Strykers] have some quality guys coming in for the summer and we feel like this roster will help us accomplish our goal.” In addition to the roster moves, the return of Coach Seibert to the coaching staff helps forge a solid foundation for the Strykers moving forward.

The Strykers future looks bright as they head into the 2016 season.
