After getting out to a 5-1 lead through six innings of play, it looked as though the Texas Tomcats would cruise to an easy victory over the Brazos Valley Bombers on Tuesday night. However, the Tomcat's pitching staff allowed 11 walks in the final three innings of play which led to the Bombers scoring eight runs in the seventh inning and five runs in the eighth inning as they won the ballgame 14-5. Barrett Richter took the loss on the mound for the Tomcats despite only facing one batter on the night. Tomcat's starting pitcher Casey Grayson got a no-decision despite only allowing one run on four hits through 5.1 innings of work. The Tomcats fell to 16-18 on the season as the Bombers improved to 24-13.
