Texas & Louisiana, USA (June 20, 2022) — As the TCL rages through its third week, teams have begun to separate themselves from the pack. The Acadiana Cane Cutters continue to pace the league with 12 wins. Pitcher John Gray and outfielder Jacob Laprarie have delivered outstanding performances to help the Cane Cutters hold onto 1st place. Nipping at their heels has been the Brazos Valley Bombers, multiple solid performances from pitcher Price Siemmering have kept the Bombers in the hunt and earned him Co-Pitcher of the week honors.

Gray, the University of New Orleans product, earned his title as TCL Co-Pitcher of the Week by making three appearances and logging seven innings. He only allowed 2 hits and 1 run while striking out an impressive nine batters for an ERA of 1.29 during the week.

Sharing the title of Pitcher of the Week was Price Siemmering from the Brazos Valley Bombers. Price has only made two appearances this season, but he has made them both count. Price collected two saves out of the bullpen this week while striking out six batters over five innings of work. Simmering’s clutch performances have helped the Bombers stay close to the Cane Cutters in the standings.

In the box, Jacob LaPrairie from Tulane has put together an explosive week to help propel the Cane Cutters to a strong start in the 2022 season. Over the week, Jacob collected 11 hits including one homer, two doubles, three walks, a HBP and three stolen bases. LaPrarie finished the week hitting .440 and looks to continue his hot streak into week four.
