Acadiana Erupts Late to Defeat River Monsters 11-5
The Acadiana Cane Cutters erased an early four-run deficit with an explosive offensive outburst to earn an 11-5 road victory over the San Antonio River Monsters.
San Antonio jumped out quickly behind a three-run homer from Bruno Robles and held a 4-0 lead through four innings before the Cane Cutters' offense came alive. Acadiana scored three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings before adding five more over the final two frames.
Aidan Eshelman delivered one of the league's best performances of the season, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, six RBIs, and two walks. Tanner Hornback added two hits and two RBIs, while Christian Hallmark reached base four times and scored three runs.
Grant Haas collected two doubles and scored twice, Connor Stelly added a double, and Jayce LaCava drove in another run as Acadiana finished with 14 hits.
Will Leslie settled down after a rocky start to earn the win, while Michael Salazar-Sanchez and Jack Howell combined for four scoreless innings of relief, striking out seven.
San Antonio was led by Bruno Robles, who finished with two hits including his home run and three RBIs.
Shadowcats Explode for 19 Runs in Rout of Victoria
The Sherman Shadowcats continued their hot streak with an offensive explosion, rolling past the Victoria Generals 19-5.
