The Texas Collegiate League delivered another exciting night of action on Wednesday, featuring a walk-off win, a dominant shutout, and plenty of offense across the league.
Acadiana 11, Lake Charles 7
The Acadiana Cane Cutters completed a two-game sweep of Lake Charles with an 11-7 victory. Aidan Eshelman drove in four runs, while Parker Gwyn collected three hits and scored three times. The Cane Cutters bullpen held the Gumbeaux Gators scoreless over the final three innings to secure the win.
Victoria 7, Abilene 0
One night after allowing 14 runs, the Victoria Generals responded with a shutout victory over Abilene. Jaykub Reyes starred on the mound, tossing eight scoreless innings while allowing just four hits. Victoria scored six of its seven runs over the final three innings to pull away.
San Antonio 10, Brazos Valley 9
The game of the night belonged to the River Monsters, who rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off Brazos Valley, 10-9. Bryce Wells led San Antonio with three RBIs, while Angel Martinez scored three runs in the comeback victory.
Sherman 10, Baton Rouge 3
Sherman broke the game open early with a six-run third inning and cruised to a 10-3 win over Baton Rouge. Ellington Jefferson powered the offense with a home run and four RBIs, while Ryan Sessions added three RBIs for the Shadowcats.
