Baton Rouge Rougarou 11, Acadiana Cane Cutters 4

The Baton Rouge Rougarou jumped all over Acadiana from the opening pitch, scoring four runs in the first inning and never looking back in an 11-4 victory.

Acadiana starter Will Pritchard struggled with his command, issuing five walks while recording just one out as Baton Rouge built an early cushion. The Rougarou added another run in the second before exploding for six more in the fourth inning to put the game out of reach.

Despite collecting just seven hits, Baton Rouge made the most of 12 walks and four hit batters. Jacob Keys finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Ty Simonelli blasted a solo home run and scored twice, while Trip Dobson reached base four times and scored two runs. Jack Marcantel and Ryder Molea each drove in two runs.

Wyatt Chenevert earned the win with five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five. The Baton Rouge bullpen combined for 10 more strikeouts as the Rougarou pitching staff fanned 15 Cane Cutters.

Braylin Harris accounted for half of Acadiana's four hits, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

San Antonio River Monsters 13, Victoria Generals 11

The River Monsters continued to prove they can win slugfests, outlasting first-place Victoria 13-11 in one of the most entertaining games of the season.

San Antonio answered every Victoria rally, scoring in six different innings while capitalizing on seven General errors.

Angel Martinez delivered the biggest swing of the night, finishing 2-for-5 with a triple and five RBIs. Roman Trinidad scored three runs and drove in another, while Eric Bacon collected two hits and scored twice.

Victoria received another outstanding offensive performance from Jace Martinez, who reached base four times, scored three runs and stole three bases. Austin Marlin added three hits and two RBIs, while Isaac Yruretogoyena homered and drove in two.

The teams combined for:

  • 24 runs
  • 21 hits
  • 14 walks
  • 13 errors

Joaquin Renteria shut the door with three innings of relief to preserve the win for San Antonio.

Brazos Valley Bombers 9, Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators 3

The Brazos Valley Bombers broke open a close game with a five-run fifth inning to defeat Lake Charles 9-3.

Joey Duran homered and drove in two runs, while Gage Kooyers had a huge night with two doubles and three RBIs. Tobias Motley collected two hits and scored twice as the Bombers pounded out 10 hits.

Lane Schulz battled through six walks over four innings before Makoy Stone and Adrian DeAses combined to limit the Gators to just four hits the entire evening.

Lake Charles drew 10 walks but managed only four hits, with Nathan McDonald driving in a run and Ayden Sunday collecting a double.

Abilene Flying Bison 14, Sherman Shadowcats 7

Abilene once again showed patience at the plate, drawing 12 walks while scoring in seven different innings.

Nathan Tobin reached base four times and scored twice, Trey Smith drove in three runs, Ryan Lewis added three RBIs, while Tom Chessell and Rodrigo Bravo each knocked in two.

Myles Mayse provided one of the night's biggest highlights with a home run as part of his three-run performance.

Sherman fought back behind home runs from Zach Fjelstad and Tyler Sessions, but the Flying Bison bullpen held the Shadowcats scoreless over the final 1⅓ innings to secure the victory.

Noah Kendrick earned the win after striking out six over four innings, while Grayson Lincecum recorded the save.
