Week One Player of the Week

Baton Rouge's Trip Dobson Named Texas Collegiate League Player of the Week

The Texas Collegiate League is proud to announce Trip Dobson of the Baton Rouge Rougarou as the league's Player of the Week following a tremendous opening week at the plate.

Dobson was one of the most productive hitters in the TCL, leading the Rougarou offense while helping Baton Rouge establish itself as one of the league's top teams early in the season.

Over the course of the week, Dobson posted an impressive .538 batting average, .700 on-base percentage, and 1.000 slugging percentage. He recorded seven hits, drove in seven runs, drew four walks, and was hit by a pitch three times, consistently finding ways to reach base and create scoring opportunities.

The standout first baseman also showcased his power and extra-base hit ability, collecting one double, one triple, and one home run during the week.

Dobson's biggest moments came in key situations, delivering timely hits and driving in runs as Baton Rouge picked up several important early-season victories. His ability to impact games both with his bat and his plate discipline made him a difficult matchup for opposing pitchers throughout the week.

Through the season's opening stretch, Dobson has emerged as one of the TCL's most dangerous offensive threats and a major catalyst for the Rougarou lineup.

Congratulations to Trip Dobson and the Baton Rouge Rougarou on earning Texas Collegiate League Player of the Week honors.
