April 16, 2007 - TCU outfielder Clint Arnold (Weatherford Wranglers – 2005 & 2006) has been named Mountain West Conference Hitter of the Week for his performance last week. The junior is the second Horned Frog to be honored by the league this season. It is the first honor of his career.
played for the Weatherford Wranglers of the Texas Collegiate League in 2005 and 2006.
helped the Horned Frogs to a 4-0 record on the week, including a three-game sweep over conference-foe UNLV. He began the week with a 1-for-3 performance in a 6-3 win over non-conference opponent Baylor. In game one against the Rebels,
went 3-for-5, tying a TCU school record with three doubles in the process. He also tallied three RBI and two runs scored in a 13-6 victory. He followed with a 3-for-6, career-high six RBI and two-runs scored performance in a 16-12 game-two win.
hit home runs in the third and fourth innings to collect the first multi-homer game of his career. In a 7-3 series finale win, he had a career-best four hits along with a run scored and stolen base. For the week,
was 11-for-19 (.579) at the plate with two home runs, three doubles, nine RBI and six runs scored. Defensively, he had five putouts and one assist in his first action in centerfield this season.

. The wooden-bat summer league is comprised of over 200 of the nation’s top prospects from more than 85 different schools. The nine teams will each play a 48-game regular season schedule, which begins June 5th, with two rounds of playoffs to follow.
