Three Talented Arms Headed to the Brazos Valley Bombers

Bombers Strengthen Pitching Staff Heading Into the Summer

Bryan-College Station, TX (April 19, 2016) - The Brazos Valley Bombers are proud to announce the addition of 3 talented arms to the pitching staff for the 2016 season. The Bombers look forward to the contributions from freshmen pitchers Blaine Suehs (Blinn College),  Riley McCauley (Michigan State), and sophomore Dillon Drabble (Seminole State College/Texas A&M).

Blaine Suehs has had an amazing start for the Blinn College Buccaneers this season. Suehs has appeared in 9 games, starting 8, and currently has a 4-1 record to his name. Suehs has posted a 2.72 ERA this season along with 48 strikeouts to only 17 batters walked. Suehs was a member of the Bombers’ 2015 TCL Championship team and looks to have an impact in his second summer with the Bombers as well.

Freshman pitcher Riley McCauley aims to add an interesting dynamic to the Bombers staff this season. McCauley was a highly sought after by D1 scouts coming out of high school. McCauley picked Michigan State over schools like the University of Michigan, South Alabama, Ohio University and the Air Force Academy. In his first season with the Spartans, McCauley has shown why he was so heavily sought after. McCauley has appeared in five games this season and currently sits at a 1-0 record with a 1.69 ERA.

Dillon Drabble, a 6-foot-2 right-handed pitcher from Texarkana, is currently a member of the Seminole State College Trojans, but plans to transfer to Texas A&M for the 2017 season. This season with the Trojans has been a good one for Drabble. Drabble has started 8 games this season for the Trojans, winning 4 games and only suffering 2 losses.

All three pitchers expect to contribute to an exciting roster this season as the Bombers pursue an unprecedented fourth consecutive TCL Championship.

Affordable family fun returns to Cellucor Field as the Bombers decade season begins May 27th.
