The Texas Tomcats remained hot and extended their winning streak to six games as they beat the league-leading Brazos Valley Bombers 2-1 tonight on the road. With the score tied at 1-1 in the sixth, first baseman Casey Grayson hit his first homerun of the season to put the Tomcats in the lead. Tony Manville picked up the win for the Tomcats to improve his record to 2-3. Closer Stephen Tromblee closed the game out in the ninth to pick up his seventh save of the season which leads the Texas Collegiate League. The Tomcats improve their record to 10-8 as the Bombers fall to 10-7. The Tomcats will continue on their road trip tomorrow as they take on the East Texas Pump Jacks in the first game of a two-game series in Kilgore. Game time is 7:05pm.
